Making a Website involves considerable time, effort and dedication and is certainly not for everyone. You can't expect to be making money from day one with a Website. If it is your first Website you can expect to wait around 3-6 months before you are ready to make money.

Google cash - excellent ebook by Chris Carpenter on using affiliate programs combined with Google Adwords. This book is still worth a read but dude to changes introduced at Google in Feb 2005 you may need to modify the techniques slightly
